SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County Deputies hope some surveillance footage will help them catch a man who's accused of robbing a convenience store and then carjacking a customer.

Deputies said it happened Sunday night in Greer at the Lil' Cricket store on Gap Creek Road.

Investigators said after robbing the clerk, the suspect approached a customer who was pumping gas and stole his car.

That customer who was pumping gas was with his girlfriend and some other friends.

He spoke to Fox Carolina exclusively.

"The guy came up to me said I have a gun, give me the keys or I'll shoot you I had four people in car so I was like you can have them [keys] just so long as everybody can get out of the car," said Daniel Machado.

Machado said he was angry he was getting robbed, but it wasn't worth putting up a fight with the suspect because he didn't want anyone to get hurt.

A few hours earlier, deputies were called out to another robbery.

This one at the Lil' Cricket on Chesnee Highway in Spartanburg.

An employee said someone stole the bank deposit bag from her as she was getting into her car in the parking lot.

We're told the getaway car was a gold-colored sedan, possibly a Buick or Cadillac.

If you know anything about either of these two robberies, call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
