Police: 5 students swipe cereal during break-in

CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Five Clemson University students were charged Wednesday in connection with a Monday break-in at a campus dining hall.

According to an incident report, the students broke into the Schiletter Dining Hall through a hatch on the roof of the building and stole bags of Fruit Loops, Apple Jacks, Captain Crunch and Cocoa Puffs.

Adam Leblanc, 20, of Rock Hill; Daniel Shorter, 19, of Anderson; Corbin Nichols, 18, of Anderson; William Bolt, 20, of Anderson; and Miles Bryan, 20, of Anderson; were each charged with second-degree burglary and simple larceny.

All five students were released on $5,407 bond.

University officials said the case was also referred to the school's Office of Community and Ethical Standards.
