EASLEY, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Players from all corners of the globe have descended on Easley on Wednesday for a baseball championship like no other.
More than a dozen teams of young players from as far as Asia and Latin America will play in the Big League World Series during the next week at the J.B. Red Owens Sports Complex.
The tournament represents good news for the local economy too.
Employees at Skins Hot Dogs near the stadium said the tournament brings in lots of money each year.
"We're fast," said Karen Smith, who works at Skins. "It's right on the way to the game, and it's a good hot dog."
The championship game will be televised live on ESPN on Wednesday night.
