Greenville County deputies said they arrested a man who attacked a woman while she worked in her yard Tuesday morning.
The attack happened about 8:15 a.m. at a home near the intersection of North Florida Avenue and Gordon Street.
Deputies said the woman told them that she was working in her yard when a man approached her and showed a knife. She said the man attacked her and was able to fight him off.
Investigators said they canvassed the area to find the man and found him on the railroad tracks near Arnold Street about 11:30 a.m. They said he was arrested after a short foot chase.
Delgardo Ramsey, 36, was charged with first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct, first-degree assault and battery, kidnapping and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
