SWANNANOA, NC (FOX Carolina) -

An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 4-year-old boy from Western North Carolina.

On Friday, the Buncombe County Sheriff's Office said Aiden Crawford was last seen with his mother, 26-year-old Erin Crawford, on Aug. 16. Deputies said the boy, his mother and an unidentified man were seen getting into a maroon Chevrolet truck at 4 Dustin Drive in Swannanoa.

Just before 9:30 p.m. Friday night, The Buncombe County Sheriff's Office said the boy and his mother were located in the Sumter, South Carolina area.

Deputies said they had custody order to serve on Erin Crawford. They originally believed she may have left the state to avoid the jurisdiction of the court. Deputies said she has made reference to the Sovereign Citizen Movement and that she does not recognize the jurisdiction or authority of the court.

Investigators said the boy was unharmed when they located him, but had no information on whether any arrests would be made.
