ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Republican Joshua Putnam won the general election for the District 10 House chair in a landslide over Dave Ballard.

Putnam received 85 percent of the votes and will now head to Columbia as the youngest South Carolina representative at 22 years old.

He says he is excited to head to the State House to start working for his constituents.

"It feels great," Putnam says, "...it's a humbling experience to have the vote of the people in Anderson District 10 and to get to represent them in the State House."
