FOX Carolina 21Greer man charged with felony DUI

The South Carolina Highway Patrol has charged 21-year-old Christopher Sanchez, of Greer, with felony DUI and leaving the scene of an accident involving death.

The accident happened on Wade Hampton Boulevard on Saturday morning at 1:25 a.m.

Lance Corporal Scot Edgeworth said Sanchez hit a Honda moped from behind throwing the rider onto the highway. The rider was pronounced dead on the scene.

Edgeworth said Sanchez left the scene of the accident but was later captured and arrested.

Tony Segars, with the Greenville County Coroner's Office, identified the rider as 21-year-old Angela Christine Lococo, of Taylors, SC. Segars said Lococo was not wearing a helmet and was only a few blocks away from her home.
