CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Clemson red-shirt freshman running back Demont Buice has decided to transfer at the end of the semester.
The school's Athletics Department said Buice met with head football coach Dabo Swinney on Monday to discuss the decision.
"We hate to see Demont leave our program," Swinney said. "We were pleased with his progress, but he wants more immediate playing time."
Buice came to the Tigers from Gatson High School in Gadsden, AL. He ran 102 yards and had 18 carries during the spring game.
Buice missed the Troy game because of an injury, but played the last five games on special teams, netting two tackles.
