Last month, the Spartanburg Humane Society threatened not to take county animals because of a past due bill.

The Spartanburg County Council voted Monday to send their business to Greenville County's Humane Society.

Spartanburg county will enter into a contract with Greenville county for four months at a cost of $24,000 per month.

On Oct. 18, the county partially paid back the Humane society for their overdue bill. They were granted a temporary reprieve until Oct. 31.
