SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Former Chinese Ambassador and Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman stopped at Converse College on Thursday afternoon.

The Republican presidential candidate was a featured speaker at the college's Presidential Forum Series at Carmichael Hall at 3:30 p.m.

Huntsman is on a three-day tour of South Carolina.

Huntsman has been endorsed by South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson.

Gov. Nikki Haley has not endorsed any of the Republican candidates, but she has said she would not endorse Huntsman for president. She said Huntsman is not conservative enough.

A recent Gallup Poll showed that 50 percent of Republicans nationally recognize Huntsman. That was the lowest recognition value of the eight candidates tracked by Gallup.
