ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County Deputies said they were looking for a robbery suspect that held up a SunTrust Bank.

Deputies said he entered the bank and demanded money. Deputies said the suspect was a white male in his 40's to 50's, 6-feet tall, 180 pounds with a reddish goatee, gray hoodie, red bandanna and sunglasses.

The bank is located in the Watson Village Shopping Center at the intersection of Highway 29 and S. Main Street in Anderson.

Deputies said the suspect did not present a note or weapon but made a verbal request for the money. He got away with an undisclosed amount.

He fled on foot and deputies searched the area, according to deputies. The Anderson County Sheriff's Office helicopter and K-9 unit were also searching until his track turned cold.

Anderson School District Five officials said Homeland Park Elementary School and South Fant Early Childhood Center had been placed on lockdown as a precaution around 10 a.m., but that lockdown was lifted around 11:30 a.m.
