Showdown set for prime time when Tigers travel to Columbia

COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The game time has been set in the Palmetto State showdown on Nov. 26 in Columbia.

The Clemson Tigers will taken on the University of South Carolina Gamecocks at 7:45 p.m. at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia on ESPN.

This annual rivalry game will be highly contested this year as both teams remain ranked. The Tigers are number 7 in the BCS and the Gamecocks are number 12.

Both teams thrived in conference wins on Saturday. The Gamecocks defeated the University of Florida Gators at home 17-12. They are 8-2 for the season.

The Tigers are 9-1 and defeated the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 31-28 in close game, securing the title of Atlantic Division champions.

The Tigers secured a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship game on Dec. 3. They will play the Coastal Division champion, which is not yet decided.

South Carolina has a home game on Saturday against The Citadel at noon. Clemson travels to Raleigh to face the Wolfpack of North Carolina State at 3:30 p.m.
