CLEMSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Students from Clemson University and the University of South Carolina are teaming up to deliver a football to Columbia in time for the in-state rivalry game.

The Gamecocks and Tigers will meet for their annual gridiron matchup on Nov. 26 at Williams Bryce Stadium.

Students from Clemson's Sigma Yu Fraternity chapter grabbed a football and took to the open road Friday afternoon. The group is using the annual Game Ball Run to raise money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

The Clemson runners will meet runners from the South Carolina chapter of the fraternity in Greenwood. Those runners will complete the 138-mile trip to Columbia.

"You've got two rival schools that beat each other up, but it all comes together and we do this for a good cause," said Will Stevenson, a student at Clemson.

The Clemson-Carolina game can be seen on ESPN beginning at 7:45 p.m.
