Job fairs held in Upstate for immediate openings

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Several job fairs were held in the Greenville and Spartanburg on Wednesday.

In Spartanburg, MAU Workforce Solutions hosted a job fair Wednesday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. to fill immediate job openings in Spartanburg, Greer and Gaffney.

The job fair was held at the SC Works/Career Source center at 110 Commerce St. in Spartanburg.

Interested applicants must submit to a background check and drug screen and attendees will be interviewed on a first-come, first-served basis for the available positions.

MAU said a wide variety of shift models and shift schedules are available, including CNC Operators, Machine Operators, Inspectors, Textile Operators, Material handlers, and forklift.

In Greenville, Perceptis hosted a fair between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Wednesday at 325 West McBee Avenue.

The company was recruiting for seasonal full and part-time call center agents. The company provides help desk and customer support services to colleges and universities.

The open positions are for 6 to 8-week-long assignments that pay $10 an hour with bonus potential.

Perceptis said they were looking for candidates willing to work a flexible schedule, with excellent communication skills and people who are computer literate.

Interested candidates should bring a resume and be ready for pre-employment testing and screening and an interview.

Perceptis will also hold the fair on Thursday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the same location.
