A Greenville man was arrested Thursday in connection with the fatal shooting of another man the day after Thanksgiving.
Greenville police said that on Saturday, the body of Jonathan Young was found lying between two houses near the intersection of Sullivan and Dean streets. They said Young had been shot to death sometime on Friday night.
Investigators said that they were given information that identified 27-year-old Joseph Walker as the suspect in the case.
Police said that Walker was arrested Thursday, with the help of the Greenville County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Marshals.
Walker was charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Police said they are still looking for witnesses and information in connection with Young's death. Anyone with information about the shooting was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
