Taylors woman accused of having sex with 14-year-old boy

WALHALLA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Taylors woman has been accused of having sex with a 14-year-old boy at a school in Oconee County.

Oconee County deputies said 27-year-old Candice Smith was arrested Monday at the completion of an investigation into allegations of sex between her and a student at the Tamassee DAR School.

Deputies said Smith was a house parent at the school.

According to arrest warrants, the sexual encounters happened between April and August.

Smith was charged with three counts of criminal sexual conduct with a minor. She was released from jail on $60,000 bond.
