Man gets 12 years for sex with 13-year-old boy

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Greenville County man was sentenced to 12 years in prison Monday after he admitted to having sex with a 13-year-old boy in 2008.

Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor Walt Wilkins said 46-year-old Matthew Kerr Jr. pleaded guilty to lewd act upon a child.

Wilkins said evidence presented at the hearing showed that Kerr was a friend of the victim's family and performed oral sex on the boy while he stayed at Kerr's house.

The victim, who had since moved away form the area, was present at Kerr's hearing Monday, Wilkins said.
