CLINTON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Clinton man was killed in a crash in Laurens County on Thursday morning.

The single-car crash happened about 10:30 a.m. on Ab Jacks Road.

Troopers said a vehicle was traveling south on Ab Jacks Road when the driver came to a curve and overcorrected. They said the vehicle hit a ditch and then flipped, trapping the driver inside.

The driver, who was identified by the Laurens County Coroner's Office as 39-year-old Ervin Toland, died at the scene.

Toland was not wearing a seat belt, troopers said.

The roadway was blocked for about two hours.
