Deputies said they responded to a home for a domestic disturbance where a woman bit a deputy and said she had AIDS.

According to a Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were called to a home on Cotton Top Court in Spartanburg on Sunday night for a disturbance.

Deputies said they found a group of people gathered on a balcony and they were screaming, including one woman who cursed at one of the deputies.

The report said the woman, Denean Robbs, 32, of Spartanburg, was intoxicated and confrontational. The report said a deputy asked to talk to her inside, and she slammed the door on him, striking him in the head.

The deputy tried to place her under arrest, but she refused, lying on the floor on top of her hands, according to the report.

Another deputy came in to assist in the arrest, having to physically remove her from the residence while she continued to resist and yell at them, according to the report.

While in the patrol car, she tried to kick the window out, kick a deputy in the face, and tried to bite the other deputy multiple times, according to the report. She eventually bit the deputy and said, "I have AIDS and now so do you."

Robbs was arrested and taken to Spartanburg County Detention Center where she is being held. She was charged with resisting arrest and public disorderly conduct.
