A rapper from Mauldin, used this MLK weekend to spread a message with his songs, different from the popular themes of drugs or crime.
The youth service at Metamorphosis Church in Greer said they were looking for a way to mix up their message for kids. Youth leader, Jeremy Greer, brought Chris "C-Money" Huff to church Sunday night. Huff is a twenty-five year old, who says he's got a lot to rap about.
He said he's performed at churches in Florida, South Carolina, and North Carolina, and he said he uses his music to be a role model as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was to him, an agent of change.
"It's about living a lifestyle," said Huff. "Being the same person - a lot of people go to church and they're a certain person in church, and then they leave and they're a different person outside of church. So my goal is to get people to be the same person that the pastor sees on Sundays."
Huff still hopes for his own record deal, and wants to make the big bucks like Biggie.
