UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Thirty-one people were arrested during a drug operation in Union County on Monday, according to Union County Sheriff David Taylor.
Taylor said his office partnered with police in Union and Jonesville to conduct Operation Protect Our Communities. He said the arrests were the culmination of a 5-month-long investigation.
"Together we will continue to battle the drug problem in our county," Taylor said. "It is a direct reflection on property thefts in the communities where we live."
Charges included distribution of marijuana, crack and prescription drugs; child neglect and probation violation.
One of those arrested was a juvenile, Taylor said.
Taylor said more arrests were expected.
