Auctioneers competition heads to Greenville this weekend

PELZER, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The fastest talkers in the South are heading to the Embassy Suites in Greenville to for a huge convention for auctioneers.

Hundreds from South Carolina and surrounding states will flood the upstate hotel for a huge competition Friday night and for seminars on auctions.

On Tuesday morning, David Meares from Meares Auctions Inc., in Pelzer, tried to teach Fox Carolina's morning reporter Joe Gagnon a thing or two about how to take bids.
