CENTRAL, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Police said a Norris man was stabbed to death during a fight at a home in Central on Thursday night.

The stabbing happened about 7 p.m. at 307 Watkins St.

According to an incident report, when officers arrived they found a man's body laying on the living room floor in a pool of blood.

Central Police Chief Kerry Avery said two men, who had been drinking, got into a fight.

Officials said a roommate saw some of what took place, but didn't pay too much attention. They said a witness driving by heard fighting, so he pulled over and saw what happened through the window.

Pickens County Coroner Kandy Kelley said 59-year-old Roger Myles died from a stab wound to the neck and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gerald Hicks, of Central, was charged with murder in connection with Myles's death. He was being held in jail without bond.

Avery said this is the first homicide in Central since Clemson student Tiffany Souers was killed in 2006.
