SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Pacolet woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison Tuesday after she admitted to leading police on a car chase and possessing an illegal drug.

Crystal Belue, 36, pleaded guilty to second-offense failure to stop for a blue light and siren and second-offense possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

Investigators said when a Chesnee police officer tried to stop Belue's vehicle for an improper license plate on Nov. 23, 2011, she sped away. They said the chase ended in a grassy field and Belue and her passenger, 30-year-old Michael Spencer, fled the car.

Belue was later found hiding under a car, prosecutors said. They said Spencer was found hiding in nearby woods.

Investigators said 4 grams of methamphetamine, three digital scales, several baggies and $7,917 were found inside Belue's car.

Drug charges against Spencer are pending, prosecutors said.
