Good morning! It's a chilly morning - especially in WNC - but temperatures will again peak above-normal for this time of year. It won't be as warm as it was on Thursday, though - but how beautiful was the weather yesterday?!? We were lucky to find a restaurant with outside seating... and it seemed like a lot of people were thinking the same thing! And the dogs were happy to spend some time out in the backyard, too!
We will stay dry today, but clouds will be on the increase. The storm system bringing a wintry wallop to parts of the Rockies and Plains states will be moving eastward today... and out ahead of it we'll see cirrus clouds building in. So while we'll be brighter to start the day, you can expect more filtered sun during the afternoon. Mostly cloudy skies will take over by tonight, but we'll stay dry through your evening plans.
The system will be bringing rain to the area over the weekend - so no winter weather in our area! Both Saturday and Sunday will be those typical "wedge" days: cloudy, cool and soggy. The rain will be on the light side through the weekend, but it will be with us both Saturday and Sunday.
While the good news is that Super Bowl parties are mostly indoor affairs, you may have to include the umbrella in your trip to pick up pizzas or wings. Temperatures will be chilly, too - we'll be a little below-normal or near-normal through the weekend.
Have a great weekend, and I hope your team wins!
