GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
With the start of the Major League Baseball season just weeks away, some players from the Atlanta Braves stopped in the Upstate to help their fans get excited about the upcoming season.
On Tuesday afternoon, Martin Prado, Brandon Beachy, Johnny Estrada and Eddie Perez visited students at Sevier Middle School to sign autographs.
Perez said he hopes the visit will inspire students.
"Hopefully, they can take advantage of this visit and be somebody," Perez said. "That's not easy."
The Braves play their first spring-training game on March 3. The team's first regular season game against the New York Mets is scheduled for April 5.
