TRAVELERS REST, SC (FOX Carolina) -

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported an accident with injuries near Travelers Rest on Thursday morning that blocked a roadway.

Troopers said State Park Road near Taunya Lane was blocked at about 11:15 a.m., which is north of Paris Mountain State Park in Greenville County.

A witness at the scene said the vehicle was swerving on the road, overcorrected to the right, hit a culvert and flipped. The driver tried to get out but was trapped in the vehicle before emergency crews arrived and got him out, according to the witness.

There is no word yet on the extent of the driver's injuries.
