SIMPSONVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
At least one person was killed in a crash near Simpsonville on Friday night, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The single-car crash happened at 6:15 p.m. at the intersection of Jonesville and Stokes roads.
Troopers said the driver, who was the only person in the car, was heading south on Jonesville Road when the vehicle entered a curve. They said the then vehicle left the roadway, hit an embankment and flipped.
The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from the vehicle, troopers said.
The victim's identity was not immediately released.
