Valentine's Day is known for being the most romantic day of the year, and what better way to celebrate your love than to get engaged. It happened tonight for one couple who actually live in Dallas but call Greenville their favorite city.
We were there as Bill Short asked Ann Stensaas to marry him at Larkins on the RiverTuesday night. The two now live in Dallas - and that's where they met, but they both used to live in Greenville; they just never knew each other.
They say this city is their favorite, which was how they initially started talking on the dating website, eHarmony. They had never been to Greenville together, so Short thought this to be the perfect opportunity to ask the woman of his dreams to marry him.
"When I was matched with Ann," said Short, "everything in my life, all the bad stuff in my life, the hurt and the sadness, all made sense when I met (her)."
The couple only met this past October, but they said they know they're meant to be.
Short and Stensaas drive back to Dallas Wednesday, and they said the trip will be full of wedding planning.
They said they will surely be back to their favorite city of Greenville and that it will always hold a special place in their hearts.
