-Not Nearly as Much Rain as Anticipated = Busted Forecast: Weaker than expected, this weekend storm wasn't able to wrap up (intensify) and slow down as much as anticipated. Not only did that make for a storm system tracking on a southern trajectory (which shifted heavier rains south), but it also meant quicker-moving bands of rain. On top of that, it meant less moisture pulled from the Gulf of Mexico. A stronger storm system would have pulled much more moisture and slowed to a crawl compared to what actually occurred. Those are the breaks.
Rain amounts (two days totals) as follows: Greenwood had 0.62" ... Clemson had 0.57" ... Anderson had 0.48" ... GSP had 0.43" ... Greenville had 0.34" Franklin & Rutherfordton did not report & Asheville had under 0.1"
Also, this fast-moving system didn't allow for much snow to accumulate past 2,500ft elevations in Western NC. Winter Storm Warnings for the entire Mountain chain were dropped at around 10PM and Winter Weather Advisories continue in the high elevations until early Monday. All in all, we're all glad it's gone!

-Warming Trend This Week: This is the sort of thing we need right about now, huh?! After some sunshine and 50s for Monday & Tuesday, things get even better for Wednesday and Thursday and probably Friday as well. Expect a whole lot of 60s under a mix of sun and clouds before another wave of cold air moves down for Saturday.
