SENECA, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies say no one was injured when an Amtrak train crashed into a pickup truck that broke down on the railroad tracks Sunday morning.

Oconee County deputies said the truck was crossing West Sizemore Road near Seneca when the truck broke down and the woman got out before the train hit and damaged the truck about 1:30 a.m.

It took crews more than an hour to remove the truck from the tracks, as they were intertwined with the train's engine.

"We looked out the window to see what it was and we can see the train going by but it was slowing down," said a witness Chad Campbell. "So, we walked out and there were people talking about their truck had been hit."

The Highway Patrol was investigating the crash.
