ANDERSON, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Anderson County deputies said that they have arrested a man in connection with one of three homicides that happened this weekend.

Investigators said one of the homicides is unrelated to the other two.

The first homicide happened late Friday night off Echo Circle. Authorities said 76-year-old Claud Scott was badly beaten, and his car stolen.

Before Scott died Saturday morning, Anderson County deputies said they were able to pull together information on a possible suspect, 47-year-old John Fitzgerald Kennedy.

On Sunday, deputies said that Kennedy turned himself into authorities. He was charged with murder and was being held at the county jail.

The second homicide happened about 11:30 p.m. Friday at Oak Place Apartments on Anderson's south side. Deputies said 23-year-old Kendrick McConnell was shot at the apartment complex. They said McConnell was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Fast forward a few hours and a few miles up the road to Club Xtasy, and there's another case of a man shot. Antonio Adger, 21, eventually died of his wounds as well.

All three homicides happened within hours of each other, and deputies haven't ruled out that two of them could be related, specifically the shooting at Oak Place and Club Xtasy.

Deputies said the investigations into the two shootings continues, but, for now, no suspects have been identified.

If you have any information on any of the three homicides, you're asked to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
