MARIETTA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
The Greenville County Coroner said a husband and wife died Thursday night after they crashed while driving along Pumpkintown Road on their way to work.
The accident happened near Marietta before midnight near Geer Highway. The coroner said 47-year-old Billy Reece and his wife 59-year-old Judy Coggins-Reece were driving their truck to work at Gayley Mill when the truck went off the side of the road and hit some trees.
The truck rolled onto the passenger's side, making it difficult for emergency crews to get Coggins-Reece out, according to the coroner.
The coroner said he will perform a full autopsy but it appears they both died from blunt force trauma to the chest and head. He said neither was wearing a seat belt.
