Deputies look for man accused of shooting Circle K clerk

SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Spartanburg County deputies said an unknown man shot a local convenience store clerk during an armed robbery Monday morning.

Deputies said about 2 a.m. the suspect entered and robbed the Circle K store at 1796 E. Blackstock Rd., shot the clerk twice, then fled in an unknown direction.

The clerk was taken to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Deputies said the suspect was described as a white male, wearing a black and white baseball type cap, a black T-shirt over a dark colored longsleeve shirt, dark colored jeans, black and white gloves and a bandanna over his face.

Investigators are asking for help from the public to identify the suspect. The suspect is considered armed and dangerous and the public is advised not to approach the individual, but to call law enforcement.
