COLUMBIA, SC (FOX Carolina) -
A Greenville man said he plans to pay off his debts after he realized he won $200,000 in the lottery.
South Carolina Education Lottery officials said the man bought a $200,000 Cash Celebration game ticket, but when he scratched it in the parking lot of the Eagles on Pelham Road, he thought he had only won $200.
The man eventually realized his mistake and said he rushed home to scan the ticket into his computer and email a copy to himself.
"I'm real excited," the winner told lottery officials. "I was glad to see more zeroes."
As of Thursday morning, there was one top $200,000 prize left in the game.
The Eagles store received a $2,000 commission for selling the claimed ticket.
