Happy Friday... the 13th! With the exception of the very cold start, we don't have any "unlucky" weather headed our way today.
Freeze Warnings and Frost Advisories continue through 9 AM for the entire area, as temperatures this morning have been dipping into the 30s in most spots. Some WNC areas have fallen into the 20s - so bundle up! You'll probably want to start up the car a little early so it heats up before you leave, too.
By the afternoon, highs will be right on-track for normal this time of year. We'll top out in the low 70s in the Upstate, while towns in WNC will rise into the mid and upper 60s. Mostly sunny skies will only add to the day's appeal - so once you get home from work or school, head outside and enjoy it. It will be a great evening to fire up the grill, too!
We'll keep the nice grilling weather going through the weekend - both Saturday and Sunday will stay warm and dry. Saturday highs will top out in the mid to upper 70s in the Upstate. Western North Carolina highs will be above-normal as well, rising into the low and mid 70s.
The next rain chance will hold off until Monday - but even then our chances will be slim. A better chance for rain and thunderstorms will arrive on Tuesday. Hope you all have a great weekend!
