CAMPOBELLO, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Investigators said they have identified a body that was found in a wooded area in Campobello by a jogger Friday.
The body was found about 4 p.m. near the intersection of Asheville Highway and Old Asheville Highway.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office said the body was that of 39-year-old Fred Ramsey, of Inman.
Investigators at the scene said Ramsey's body was found about 55 feet off the side of the road.
Deputies said evidence found at the scene has led them to classify Ramsey's death as a homicide, but they would not disclose what was found.
The coroner's office said the results from an autopsy on Saturday are pending toxicology tests.
