TRAVELERS REST, SC (FOX Carolina) -
North Greenville firefighters said three horses were killed when a barn on Virginia Road in Travelers Rest went up in flames on Saturday.
Firefighters said the barn was engulfed in flames by the time they arrived. They said one of four horses inside the barn were able to escape.
Firefighters said they were able to put out the blaze before it spread to the home behind the barn, although the home's exterior did sustain some damage.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
