ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

The Charles George VA Medical Center apologized Monday for a mailing error that had some veterans concerned.

Officials at the center said postcards about some veterans' primary car and enrollment statuses were sent from the center in error. They said anyone who received one of the postcards does not need to take any action, and that healthcare benefits will continue to be provided.

The center said it will be contacting veterans and their family members who were sent one of the postcards.

Anyone with questions or concerns is asked to call 828-298-7911, extension 5474.
