GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Greenville County deputies said they are investigating an armed robbery that happened at a Pelzer home after the victim was followed from a local bank by the subject.
Deputies said they were called to the Alverson Road home about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday after the victim said an unidentified man rushed him, pointed a handgun at him and demanded money.
According to investigators, the victim was at a local bank drive-through line when he saw a disturbance in another lane by an unidentified customer. They said the victim finished his business, then went to a family member's home in Pelzer.
The person who caused the disturbance at the bank followed the victim - unbeknownst to him - then pulled in the driveway behind him, according to investigators. The victim said he recognized the suspect's vehicle from the bank.
The vehicle was described as a black, older model "box style" Buick or Oldsmobile. The subject was seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and had a bandana over his face, according to the incident report.
The Sheriff's Office asks if anyone has information regarding this incident to contact them or Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
