2 accused of making meth around kids

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said they arrested two people Tuesday after they got a tip there may be a  methamphetamine lab at the Greenville home while children were inside.

Greenville County deputies said they confirmed there was a meth lab at the Windemere Drive home and while searching, they discovered two 3-year-old children inside, who may have been exposed to fumes and chemicals.

Deputies arrested Joseph Pfieffer Jr., 27, and Ann Barry, 18, who were each charged with manufacturing methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child. Both suspects were being held in the Greenville County Detention Center on $25,000 bonds.

They said the children were properly decontaminated and taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital for evaluation.

Deputies' investigation continues and more charges could be pending.
