'Nike' charged in fatal Rutherford Co. shooting

RUTHERFORDTON, NC (FOX Carolina) -

Rutherford County deputies said Friday they arrested a man in connection with the shooting death of a man last week.

On April 10, deputies said that 21-year-old Antonitius Aurelius "Buddy" Robinson was found shot to death in the back yard of an abandoned home on Old Ross Road.

Investigators said that the shooting happened during a drug sale.

On Friday, deputies said they arrested 26-year-old Napolean Edgerton, also known as "Nike," in connection with Robinson's death. He was charged with murder.

According to the Western Carolinian, the student newspaper of Western Carolina University, Robinson graduated from the school last year, and was a defensive lineman for the school's football team.
