Police: Woman wanted in Asheville stabbing

ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -

After a fight broke out between two women in Asheville on Sunday, one was stabbed and the other is on the run, police say.

Asheville police said the fight happened about 6:45 a.m. Sunday at the Pisgah View Apartments where they found a woman had been stabbed in the arms and torso.

Following their investigation, police said Mary Rachel Cole and the victim got into a fight, and Cole used a kitchen knife to stab the other woman.

A warrant for felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury was obtained for Cole's arrest, police said.

Officers said they have tried to locate Cole but she remains at large. Anyone with information about Cole's whereabouts can text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES).
