Who doesn't enjoy sleeping to the sound of sprinkles and light rain falling?! Well, I know I do! And I especially love when we don't have to worry about severe storms during the overnight. In tonight's case, we'll have scattered showers drifting through the Carolinas and northeast GA with very little thunder. Showers will be sparse by the morning commute time-frame on Wednesday, but we'll still have a chance of using our windshield wipers from about 6-9am.
Clouds will linger through the morning, then some afternoon sunshine will peek out! Highs will be comfortable in the 60s and 70s area-wide Wednesday.
The showers tonight will be from a warm front that is slowly moving from southwest to northeast. Once the front is north of us, we'll start to feel the summery heat once again! By Thursday we'll be in the 80's for highs in the Upstate with higher humidity levels. Thanks to increased heat and moisture, we'll have a chance for isolated t-storms in the afternoon (mainly in the mountains). A front attempts to move in from the northwest, but will stall out near the mountains early Friday and stay stalled through the weekend. This will leave us with very warm temps and isolated PM storms through Sunday. A secondary, cool air push will make it here late Sunday which should clear us out and help reduce the humidity levels.
