2 caught on camera accused in metal theft

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Deputies said two men were caught on camera around the same time copper was reportedly stolen from a Piedmont business.

Deputies said that Vulcan Materials on Brown Road reported the most recent theft on April 3, pipe fittings and scrap metal valued at $2,425 from their storage yard.

The business had surveillance photos of two white males in the storage yard around the incident date and time.

Deputies said the first suspect was described as a white male, 5'6" to 5'8", between 145 and 155 pounds and 18 to 25 years old with short, straight, blonde hair. The second suspect was described as a heavy-set white male, 5'9 to 6', between 225 and 265 pounds and 18 to 25 years old wearing a plaid shirt and shorts.

The surveillance footage shows the men at the business on March 10 at 3:07 p.m., March 14 at 5:15 p.m., March 15 about 12:50 a.m. and April 2 at 10:48 p.m. Deputies said the suspects may have been driving a white SUV or pickup truck. 

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Greenville County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers at 23-CRIME.
