A.M. Booth's Lumberyard will host six bands playing for a cause Saturday.

The Mayflowers Tornado Relief Concert is an event designed to bring together a community once ripped apart by nature's wrath. After the April 27 storms, a group of young people in Huntsville decided "April showers bring May flowers," and created a music app that would help raise money for tornado victims.

The app, available on iTunes, sells for $.99. Once downloaded, users have access to dozens of songs donated by bands and musicians from across the country.

The concert will include six of the bands who donated their music to the app. The music styles vary from classic rock to country.

The concert is Saturday, April 28, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to midnight. Proceeds from the concert will go to Bessie's Place. The Mayflowers group is working with keepvolunteering.org to rebuild the small community.

The concert is family friendly. Kids under 10 get in free with face painting until 7 p.m. Tickets for adults are $10 and are available at Wild Birds Unlimited, Vertical House Records, Blevins Bicycle Company, Switch House and online.

Beer, wine and food from Chef Will's Restaurant will be available for purchase at the concert. There will also be a raffle and prizes from local businesses.

The free downtown trolley runs from 7 p.m. to 2 a.m. and stops at the concert venue, 5 points, and Big Spring Park which would be a convenient means of travel for those attending Panoply.

AM Booth's Lumberyard is located at 120 Cleveland St in Huntsville.
