LAURENS, SC (FOX Carolina) -
Laurens County deputies said Friday they arrested a man who sold $45,000 worth of counterfeit merchandise.
Deputies said that a search of 11 Paul St. found the merchandise that was not authorized by the manufacturer or distributor for sale. They said some of the items displayed counterfeit markings of registered trademarks. They said the items included clothing, footwear, purses and audio and video recordings.
Jamal Maloney, 33, was charged with illegal distribution of record and distribution of counterfeit items. He was being held at the Johnson Detention Center.
