This afternoon storms are already firing in northeast GA and drifting into the Upstate. Expect scattered t-storms across mainly Upstate and GA areas through the afternoon and evening. Any storm that forms will be capable of damaging wind and hail (much like what we saw yesterday). Luckily our storm environment isn't quite as favorable for severe weather as it was yesterday, but I still think we'll have a couple of hailers. Best chance for storms will be in the southern part of the Upstate, but we'll all have a good shot at rain.
The weekend should be a little quieter, as high pressure will weakly control our weather. We only have a slight chance of a shower or storm, and the highest likelihood for that will be Sunday. Otherwise, we'll all be talking about the summery feel to the air!
No huge changes on the horizon! In a little bit I'll post another blog on the 1 year anniversary of the historic tornado outbreak of April 27, 2011.
