FOREST CITY, NC (FOX Carolina) -
Two Rutherfordton men are accused of trying to break into a Forest City store over the weekend.
On Sunday, Forest City police said the owner of Puff-N-Stuff on South Broadway Street heard someone trying to enter the store through the rear of the business.
The owner called police and when they arrived, they said they found Michael Conner, 19, and Ryan Gilmer, 20, trying to get in.
Conner and Gilmer were charged with attempted breaking/entering, possession of burglary tools and injury to real property.
They both received a $26,000 bond and were being held at the Rutherford County jail.
