ASHEVILLE, NC (FOX Carolina) -
A man was shot to death at a Black Mountain home Monday, Buncombe County deputies said.
Deputies responded to a burglary call at a Maney Lane home about 3:20 a.m. where they said they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He later died at the scene.
A woman at the residence shot a possible intruder, according to the incident report. According to Buncombe County Sheriff's Office Lt. Randy Sorrells, the victim was the ex-husband of the shooter.
Deputies said they are continuing to investigate the shooting and an autopsy will be performed Tuesday.
